David studied traditional Chinese medicine in north west China and worked as an MD for 10 years before moving to Canada. After moving to Vancouver in 2004, he founded AT Pain Solutions Acupuncture Clinic, offering acupuncture and related treatments such as cupping and Tui Na Massage, particularly for pain management and sports injuries.
