About the Clinic
Regina's Drug Treatment Court, established in 2006, is one of three such courts in Saskatchewan. It offers a program for accused individuals with substance abuse problems that contributed to their offending. The court aims to help offenders achieve sustained sobriety and address other criminogenic needs to break the cycle of involvement in the justice system, utilizing a delayed sentencing model that can lead to reduced sentences upon graduation from the approximately one-year program.
